Download SocketMUD(tm)

This archive contains all the verions of SocketMUD(tm) ever released, as well as any official patches for the codebase. You can download the full code for each version, as well as incremental patches or just view the changelog for each release. Documentation for the various snippets and patches can be found in the documentation section of the page (use the menu in the left side of the window). When downloading patches, please make sure that you download the patch version that matches the version of SocketMud that you are currently running (or have upgraded to).

SocketMUD++(tm)

Since SocketMUD(tm) is written in C, and there are some who would like to move to an object oriented language, I have ported the core of SocketMUD(tm) to C++, making it available for download. Just remember, this file contains only the core of SocketMud, and requires more work than SocketMud to get started. It should be noted that SocketMUD++(tm) was once called SocketMUD(tm) 2 (it was renamed when the C version of SocketMUD reached version 2).

JSocketMUD(tm)

In much the same spirit as the C++ version, there is now a Java version available. Have fun playing with it. Like its C++ counterpart it is not as feature complete as the original C version.
